Pat is the founder of Benson Financial Group and has been in the financial business for over 20 years. He is a lifelong resident of the tri-state area, and community involvement is an important part of his life.  He was born and raised in Monroe City, MO, and lived there until moving to Hannibal, MO, in 1993 with his wife, Connie. They have one daughter, and two grandchildren.

Pat enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, spending time on the farm, and watching his favorite sports teams.

Jeriod is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional. He is an Army Veteran of eight years, serving two tours in the Middle East. Jeriod worked in the banking industry for over ten years before entering the financial services profession.  

Born and raised in Bevier, Missouri, Jeriod and his family have resided in Hannibal since 2005. Jeriod’s hobbies include running, golfing, reading, spending time with family, and following his favorite sports teams. Jeriod and his wife, Leah, live in Hannibal, MO, with their three children. 

Benjamin Strother

Benjamin served in education at Hannibal-LaGrange University for thirteen years as professor of finance and head baseball coach before joining BFG in 2022. He is serving as a paraplanner while he completes licensing requirements to become a financial advisor. He earned his PhD in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Educational Administration from William Woods University (MO), and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Hannibal-LaGrange University.

Born and raised in Salem, Missouri, Benjamin has resided in Hannibal since 2005. He and his wife, Janelle, have three children. In his free time, Ben enjoys gardening, reading, roasting coffee, traveling, fishing, disc golfing, running, cycling, following the St. Louis Cardinals, and hosting friends. Ben and his wife, Janelle, are members of Believers Church in Hannibal.

Tim Miller

Tim joined Benson Financial Group in January 2022. Prior to joining Benson Financial Group, Tim worked in both for-profit and non-profit arenas for 10+ years, most recently at Knapheide Manufacturing.  Tim is a lifelong resident of Quincy, IL, and holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Quincy University.

Tim is passionate about helping individuals make sound financial decisions. He and his wife, Emily, have three children. They are members of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, where Tim and Emily serve in many volunteer capacities.   Tim’s interests include running, gardening, traveling, and rooting for the Texas Longhorns.

Jason Nichols

Director of Operations

Jason served at Hannibal-LaGrange University as athletics director and head women’s soccer coach for the past twenty-four years before joining the BFG team. As Director of Operations, Jason oversees the support staff, assists advisors with various tasks, and is part of the leadership team. he earned his B.S. Degree in Human Services from Westmar University in Iowa, and his master’s degree in Education from William Woods University in Missouri.

Jason was born in Wichita, Kansas, and he and his wife, Chrystal, have five children and have enjoyed living in Hannibal since 1998.

Jason and his wife are members of Believers Church in Hannibal, where he has served in various capacities. Jason enjoys hiking, reading, cycling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Connie Benson

Insurance Consultant / Client Relations

Connie is a graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange University, where she earned her B.S.E. degree. After being in the education field as a teacher for eight years, she served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hannibal-LaGrange University for six years before joining Benson Financial Group as an insurance representative.

Community involvement is important to Connie. She participates in the HAYS mentoring program with the Hannibal Public Schools. She serves on the Kissing Well Board of Directors, Hannibal Regional Foundation Board, Beth Haven Nursing Home Board, and the Salvation Army Board. She is an ambassador for Biblical Business Training (BBT) and leads a weekly BBT Bible study group. She also spends time helping with an inner-city mission for teens, Love the Lou, in St. Louis. Connie’s passion is sharing Christ with others through speaking engagements, hosting prayer meetings, and leading Bible studies and disciple-making groups. She is a member of The Crossing in Hannibal, MO.

She and her husband Pat love spending time with family. Their daughter and son-in-law have blessed them two grandchildren. In her free time, Connie enjoys reading, walking, traveling, and spoiling their two dogs.

Beth Franklin

Director of Client Services

Beth Franklin joined Benson Financial Group in 2011, serving as a licensed insurance specialist focusing on property and casualty, Medicare supplemental, life, and long-term care insurance. Beth also coordinates identity protection services.

Beth has recently taken on the position of director of client services. In this role, she serves to ensure our team delivers prompt and professional service to our clients.

Beth is a lifelong resident of Northeast Missouri. She and her husband Bill have two children and three grandchildren. She is involved in the H.A.Y.S. mentoring program through the Hannibal Public Schools, is an active member of Chapter H P.E.O., and is involved at First Baptist Church in Monroe City, MO. During her free time, Beth enjoys camping, reading, gardening, and spending time with family.

Amanda Hall

Administrative Assistant

Amanda serves as Administrative Assistant with Benson Financial Group. She holds a B.S. degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Hannibal-LaGrange University.

Amanda is a longtime resident of the Hannibal area, where she resides with her husband, Trey. She lived in Kansas City, MO, for almost nine years before moving back to Hannibal in 2011. She enjoys watching her favorite sports teams, playing with her dog, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Jenny Johnson

Administrative Assistant

Jenny came to Benson Financial Group in early 2022 after serving in higher education for 39 years as an administrative assistant at Hannibal-LaGrange University. She holds a B.S. Degree in Organizational Management from HLGU. She is a lifelong resident of Northeast Missouri and currently resides in Ralls County. She and her late husband, Brent, raised two children and are blessed with seven grandchildren.

Jenny is a member of First Baptist Church in Perry, MO, and most recently attends Center Baptist Church. One of her passions is growing cut flowers and creating bouquets to give away. She also loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, quilting, baking/decorating sweet treats, visiting antique shops, creating artesian soaps, and reading.

Paul Littleton

Client Account Coordinator

Paul serves as client account coordinator with Benson Financial Group, and before joining BFG he spent 25 years in education as a teacher and coach. Paul graduated college from Quincy University with a B.S. in history and a minor in English.

Paul is a life-long resident of the tri-state area. He was born and raised in Quincy, IL, where he still resides. He enjoys spending time with his son and family. Paul has been active in sports his entire life, playing fast-pitch softball for over 30 years. He is an avid golfer and continues to serve as the golf coach at Unity High School. Paul is a charter member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Quincy and serves on the deacon board.

Lisa Carter

Client Services Assistant

Lisa Carter serves as a Client Services Assistant with Benson Financial Group. Lisa assists the advisors in preparing investment documents and account maintenance.

Lisa was born and raised in Hannibal, Missouri, working in Hannibal all her life. She and her husband Perry have enjoyed living in Hannibal, and together they share three children and seven wonderful granddaughters.

Lisa is a member of Clover Road Christian Church where she serves on the Outreach Committee, which ministers primarily to shut-ins. She also serves in the toddler and preschool age ministry, and volunteers in jail ministry with God’s Harvesters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Debbie Burroughs

Client Services Assistant

Debbie is a lifelong resident of northeast Missouri, having grown up in Shelbina. Debbie has worked in the financial industry since 1983, most recently as a Vice President and loan officer at HNB National Bank.

Debbie is an active member of Clover Road Christian Church in Hannibal, where she serves as a greeter and is part of the bereavement and refreshment teams. She and her husband, Don, are blessed with five children, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and they enjoy spending time with them all. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys reading, crocheting, and walking.

Rebecca Luebrecht

Director of Marketing

Rebecca serves as the director of marketing and assists the BFG financial advisors. Her experience includes public relations and banking, with many years of creative design experience specifically related to marketing. Her most recent experience was gained at Hannibal-LaGrange University, where she worked from 2005 until joining Benson Financial Group. She earned her bachelor's degree in business management from HLGU.

Rebecca has resided in Hannibal, Missouri most of her life. She is a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Together, she and her husband Jim have five children and two grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy working on projects together, and spending time with family, friends, and their dog.
